
Ryan McClafferty previously served as an Attorney Advisor in the Federal Communications Commission's Media Bureau, where he drafted rulemaking orders and adjudicatory decisions and advised on complex broadcasting and media matters. His work at the FCC earned him a Special Achievement Award for exceptional legal analysis and writing.

Ryan's practice focuses on telecommunications regulatory matters and transactions, media law, and FCC compliance. Prior to the FCC, Ryan worked as an attorney at an AmLaw 100 law firm, where he advised Fortune 100 clients on federal regulatory and legislative matters across the technology, telecommunications, energy, and financial services sectors. He also served as an Oversight and Investigations Law Clerk for the U.S. Senate Committee on Banking, Housing, and Urban Affairs.
Originally from Bethesda, Maryland, Ryan received his B.A., cum laude, from Dartmouth College, and his J.D. from the University of Virginia School of Law, where he served as Executive Editor of the Journal of Law and Politics. He is admitted to practice law in Maryland and the District of Columbia.
