Swift joined Fletcher, Heald & Hildreth, PLC, as Of Counsel on January 1, 2008 after 40 years in private practice with a national law firm, his own firm and recently as a partner with Irwin, Campbell & Tannenwald. Mr. Swift graduated from the University of Notre Dame and after a stint in the U.S. Marine Corps received his law degree from the Georgetown University Law Center.His broad experience includes the representation of clients in all facets of broadcasting, both commercial and non-commercial, cable television and microwave systems. This work has included FCC licensing and rulemaking, transactional work in the sale and purchases of communications properties, litigation before the FCC and the federal courts, changes in radio and television facilities and day-to-day regulatory matters for clients before the FCC.
Mr. Swift has been active in the Federal Communications Bar Association, having served as a member of its Executive Committee and as a member of various FCBA committees.
