Ronald Whitworth joined the firm in September 2006 after working as Special Assistant to Commissioner Jonathan Adelstein at the Federal Communications Commission. Mr. Whitworth graduated from The Catholic University of America in May 2006, with a certificate from the Communications Law Institute, Mr. Whitworth served as the Senior Lead Articles Editor of Commlaw Conspectus, in which his article on IP video was published in 2005. He also served as President of the Communications Law Students Association, Delta Theta Phi Law Fraternity (Hughes Senate) and Sports Law Society. As a Moot Court Associate, Mr. Whitworth was a member of Catholic's National Telecommunications Moot Court Team. Mr. Whitworth received Catholic's "Marathon Award" in 2006 for "extraordinary dedication and outstanding service to the law school community."
      
Prior to law school, Mr. Whitworth was the Editor-in-Chief of Badger Nation Magazine for six years, and covered University of Wisconsin athletics for the Associated Press and Fox Sports Radio. He has appeared on dozens of radio and television programs nationwide, including ESPN Radio and The Sporting News Radio Network. A graduate of Indiana University with degrees in journalism and political science, Mr. Whitworth is also a former Associate Producer for "The George Michael Sports Machine" and the NBC-4 Sports Department in Washington, D.C. He has also competed in lifetime drug-free natural bodybuilding, with third-place finishes in the Wisconsin Natural Bodybuilding Championships and Great Lakes Natural Bodybuilding Championships.
       
Mr. Whitworth is a member of the Federal Communications Bar Association, and the American Bar Association. He is a member of the Virginia State Bar.
