Harry C. Martin is a member of the law firm of Fletcher, Heald & Hildreth, PLC., Arlington, Virginia. Harry specializes in mass media law, with his time divided between regulatory and transactional matters.


Harry is a past president of the Federal Communications Bar Association (2004-2005) and served on the FCBA's Executive Committee from 1995-2006. He served as President-Elect for 2003-2004, as Assistant Treasurer and Treasurer for 2000-2002, and as Assistant Secretary and Secretary for 1997-1999. Also, he co-chaired the FCBA's Adjudicatory Practice Committee (1987-1989), Professional Responsibility Committee (1990-1992), Judicial Practice Committee (1992-1993), Mass Media Practice Committee (1993-1994), and CLE Committee (1999-2000). While a co-chair, he organized and moderated CLE programs for each of these committees.


Harry has been a monthly columnist for Broadcast Engineering magazine since 1981 and Radio magazine since 1997. He also regularly participates as a speaker at NAB and state broadcast industry conventions.


Harry has served on the board of directors of the University of Virginia Club of Washington and as Washington regional co-chair for UVA’s Jefferson Scholarship Program.


He received his undergraduate degree from the University of Virginia and his law degree with honors from George Washington University.
