Fixed Wireless

Fletcher, Heald & Hildreth, PLC has long been at the forefront of regulatory developments affecting fixed wireless services. We initiated many of the fixed service rulemakings over the past decade. Our lawyers helped to found the industry-wide Fixed Wireless Communications Coalition (FWCC), and have served as its counsel ever since.

We assist clients in pre-coordinating and filing for private and common carrier microwave channels that form the backbone of many modern communications networks. And we work with manufacturers to conform their products to the FCC rules, and to persuade the FCC to adapt its rules to evolving technology.

Our attorneys have been at the center of Broadband Radio Service (BRS) and Educational Broadband Service (EBS), and their predecessors MMDS and ITFS, almost since the inception of those services. We have represented incumbent legacy licensees, auction winners, and new entrants to this industry as these services evolved from a limited subscription video service to 4G mobile broadband. In addition to licensing and regulatory compliance, our attorneys negotiate contracts, and help resolve disputes between licensees and their lessees.
